			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>My name is Ansel Ackart and I&#8217;ve decided to challenge myself and start something new. In my case, it&#8217;s starting this blog on the subject of Personal Development and related topics. Personal Development is something that I believe is very important, especially in the world we live in today where it can seem like everyone you meet is plagued by the <em>lack of</em> personal development such as overwhelming feelings of depression, financial crisis, feelings of worthlessness, lack of direction&#8230; just to name a few.</p>
<p>Personal development is a topic that I happen to know a lot about due to extensive reading, research, and personal application. But although I have a wealth of knowledge regarding the subject, I am still very interested in learning more about it and I have decided that I would greatly enjoy sharing my ideas, and learning more from those who read my ideas and advice that I publish here.</p>
<p>It is my personal challenge to start and maintain this blog, and regularly build up a database of knowledge that people can come to when they need advice, tips, product recommendations, etc. on things related to making their lives better in <em>any </em>way possible. Not only will this be an exercise in discipline for me, it will also be a very rewarding experience to know that people who are reading my article may in some way be benefiting from the advice I give.</p>
<p>With that being said, I challenge <em>you</em> to start something new&#8230; a challenge that may better yourself in any way. Whether it be something big or small, do <em>something</em> and set a goal for how long you want to consistently continue that challenge&#8230; be it a week, a month, a year, indefinitely, etc.</p>
<p>Below is a list that may give you a few ideas on things you might challenge yourself to do&#8230;</p>
<ul>
<li>Start a blog and write to it regularly (such as what I&#8217;ve decided to do)</li>
<li>Start a private journal (online or offline) and write to it every day</li>
<li>Read for a set amount of time each day</li>
<li>Walk for at least 30 minutes every day</li>
<li>Restrict yourself from drinking soda for a certain amount of days</li>
<li>Participate regularly in a hobby you used to enjoy, but don&#8217;t ever find yourself doing anymore.</li>
<li>Set a time of day to spend quality time with your pet, such as walking the dog every evening (if you don&#8217;t already do so)</li>
<li>Listen to at least one <a href="http://www.transparentcorp.com/products/np/?c=3590804" target="_blank">brainwave audio</a> each day</li>
<li>Set aside some time to learn and practice playing a new instrument, and don&#8217;t give up</li>
</ul>
<div>The main topic of this challenge is <em>self discipline</em>. It the foundation of all things related to personal development because in order to improve yourself, you need to have the discipline to do things that you may not always be in the mood to do, but for the purpose of bettering yourself.</div>
