This entry was made using my new iPod touch, which, so far I am very impressed with. I look at it as more of a portable wifi productivity device than a portable media player, which is secondary to the device in my opinion.

My absolute favorite feature is the web browser which is more like the web browser on your desktop computer than a web browser on a portable device. I absolutely hate browsing the net on most if not all mobile phones but have no problem doing so on my Touch.

So why the iPod Touch instead of the iPhone? Well, I am currently not an AT&T subscriber and am very comfortable with the calling, texting, and pricing of my current cellphone provider. Web browsing via wifi and the mobile mini computer aspect of the iPod touch is something I can’t currently get out of my cellphone.

With this setup, really the only thing I am missing from the iPhone is the ability to access the Internet via the EDGE network when no WiFi is available but fortunately I live in a very “WiFi friendly” part of the world.
